Norwich Township · Our purpose
People who seek public power should explain how they intend to use it, what they did, and what happened next.
This independent civic publication makes government visible, understandable and answerable. It does not endorse or rank candidates. It does expect substantive explanations from everyone seeking office.
By the people. For the people. Oxford County Town Hall exists to make public decisions easier to understand, question and follow. Residents deserve clear answers about their money and their community.
Oxford County Town Hall is responsible for its editorial decisions and corrections. This is an independent publication, not a County, municipal, election or campaign website.
A funding and sponsorship declaration has not yet been published. Commercial arrangements must be disclosed and must never purchase favourable coverage, removal of questions or changes to the factual record.
AI assists with research organization, summaries and the site’s software. It can make mistakes. Linked evidence, attributable statements and visible corrections let readers challenge the record. The publisher remains responsible for what appears here.
Official documents establish decisions and authority. Candidate statements establish what a person said, not whether the claim is true. Editorial questions and alternatives are labelled. We do not turn speculation about a business, parking, roads or property into an allegation.
Verified candidates and officials can answer, supply evidence and clarify. Accepted statements remain visible during revision review. Material revisions and sourced commitment milestones stay attached to the record. Identity verification is not an endorsement of accuracy.
Report an error privately without creating an account or publishing your name. A contact email is optional. Reports go to the editor queue; accepted changes belong in the public correction history.
Private favours, commercial relationships and sponsorship do not purchase factual changes, favourable treatment or removal of uncomfortable questions. Conflicts relevant to a story should be disclosed in that story. Corrections should identify what changed and why.
Issue briefs are written to be read, discussed and shared: one important question, the facts that make it matter, and the next decision. Share a direct issue or comparison link so the evidence travels with the claim.
Selected official news, council and election pages are checked daily in private. AI helps organize the changes; the publisher reviews and approves updates before publication. This does not cover every public source, and a detected change is not automatically a news story.
